Day 11 - Lake Louise to Banff

Travelled from Lake Louise to Banff today and stopped at a few mundane points of interest but finished up at the gondola to Sulphur mountain.  From there to the Banff Springs hotel and what a castle this place has turned out to be.  More on this tomorrow.  We then caught the bus to the ho down and boot scooting dinner and dance in downtown Banff.  Did the boring travellers turn out to be a bunch of fun loving people who did not want to catch the last bus home.  Wow, now they are starting to let their hair down.
Will explain more of the Spiral tunnels later.

This is the spiral tunnel, difficult to see but an amazing engineering feat.

The freight train system in Canada is well managed. Some of these trains are 100+ carriages making the train over a kilometre long.

Some falls along the way to Banff.

A brown bear alongside the road just coming out of hibernation.

The gondola at Banff up to Sulphur mountain.

Wherever you look there are fantastic views.
